All-Russian and Eurasian student leagues will be formed by 2023
“These are long-term strategic projects – part of the so-called “road map” of the Association development, which developed it with a view to the Olympic Games 2028 and with a focus on the youth,” said Bogatyrev.
“Horsemen of the Student League of Russia and Eurasia will have a whole series of their own competitions, which will be in harmony with the start of other Russian and Eurasian projects of the EEA. This will expand opportunities for young ambitious athletes and give equestrian sport in Eurasia additional development opportunities,” he added.
According to Bogatyrev, a professional Eurasian Equestrian League will appear “within the next few months.”
“Now its formation is going on. The series of competitions of the professional league is being developed for riders of the highest level, who strive to get into the cohort of the strongest. There is already an analogue in the world – Global Tour, whose participants with their example and authority very effectively popularize equestrian sport and involve new members,” – said Bogatyrev.
The Eurasian Equestrian Association (EEA), headquartered in MAXIMA PARK near Moscow, includes ten post-Soviet countries and Iran. They are organized into three groups: European (Russia, Belarus, Moldova), Central Asian (Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan) and Caspian-Caucasian (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran). All of them, in turn, make up Regional Group 3 of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI).
